Used rankings from The Draft Wire and kept our picks within +/- 10 spots.
1(11). Devin White/Devin Bush: ~6' ~230-240lbs. My first choice is White, based on his leadership intangibles. Both guys are rare athletes at LB position, but have different strengths and weaknesses. Either one will improve the defense and hopefully instill a new identity. This is what Darius Leonard did for the Colts last year and Vander Esch did for the Cowboys. We need that to happen in Cincinnati.
2(42). Irv Smith Jr., TE: 6'2" 242lbs. Great athlete that can be used all over the field in multiple sets. Let's see what Taylor and Callahan can do with a new toy.
3(72). Greg Little, OT: 6'5" 310lbs. Prototype LT, needs more time and coaching to reach full potential. I'd put him in competition with Hart at RT on day 1.
4(110). Derrick Baity Jr., CB: 6'2" 186lbs. Length and ball skills, nice upside.
5(trade up). Gary Jennings, WR: 6'1" 214lbs. Use some 6's to move up to bottom of 4/top of 5. Big bodied, jack of all trades type. Playmaker in the redzone.
6-7. No dog in the fight here, some ST/PS types, DL, OL, S, RB, back-up QB.
Just some guys I like:
QB - Gardner Minshew, Clayton Thorson
DL - DeMarcus Christmas, Kingsley Keke
OL - Isaiah Prince, Mitch Hyatt
S - Zedrick Woods, Andrew Wingard
