First of all these stats are in "Adjusted Line Yards". Each run play is given a different weight based on down, distance, opponent defense, and offensive formation. Then to separate credit for the RB from the O-line the offensive line is considered to be 20 percent more responsible for lost yardage than it is for positive gains up to four yards, but 50 percent less responsible for additional yardage gained between five and ten yards, and not at all responsible for additional yardage past ten yards. Scramble runs by QBs and reverses by WR are not counted.
