I don't know how you're financial situation is currently, but putting $100 down on the off chance it actually happens doesn't sound so bad to me lol.

By that logic wouldn't you'd be better off putting that $100 on the 500-1 Dolphins?

If we are speaking technically, yes!

But obviously, I'm only choosing these terrible odds because of my emotional connection to the Bengals. If I placed said bet, it would be because I love the Bengals, not because I actually expected them to win. I mean cmon, how fun would it be to talk about how you bet on your team when they faced 100-1 odds and they won it for you.

There are higher odds than that just for them to win the division on Bovada. Put your money there.

How about a 20 cent bet on the Reds winning the super bowl? I imagine the odds are REALLY stacked there..  If that 400 bazillion to one bet paid off....  Shocked

Quit betting with your heart and start betting with your gall bladder.

The Bengals will not win the Super Bowl. Forget the hype and face reality. This bet is just throwing money away. You have better odds being an idiot than this bet.

Over here in Scotland, The Bengals are 150/1 to win the SB and 18/1 to win the division

Great idea except I no longer have a gall bladder. I traded it for our super bowl winning team 10 years ago..The only problem is it was just a faulty gall bladder.. The surgeon returned it for a refund at Walmart.  Sad

Say you put $100 down on them to win the Super Bowl and they make the playoffs....

Then, you can simply wager against yourself $1000, $2000, and $4000 on each successive opponent.  If you lose all three games, you win the Super Bowl.  If you win, say, the second game, you still are up $800.

And this is assuming they would have to take the three playoff game route...Then, you could bet up to $41000 against yourself in the Super Bowl.  I would be nervous as hell doing this, but would likely hedge it on a much lower scale.

And the Eagles, Rams, and Bears all fired their Marvin Lewises and hired young, innovative coaches.  Just sayin'
