17 game season being considered

Goodell confirms 17-game regular season is a part of CBA talks. Says they’d still start the week after Labor Day, but play longer into February.

I seriously doubt the players union is going to agree with this unless big $$ are pushed to play that extra game. If they go the route of shortening the preseason, they are still going to want more cash because a lot of starters don’t play the 4th PS game. Plus there’s the toll on the body, but really doubt that’s much of a concern if money starts talking. Wish they would leave it as is.

I imagine cutting a preseason game would be a must.

If I'm the NFL, I contemplate a second bye week for every team if games are added. It seems like a win-win. There would still be games the extra week, the season gets extended, and hopefully the quality of play would be better.
