Thus far.
Ranked #6 in the NFL, way ahead of the bengals
after pre-season predictions of them being mediocre to awful.

You must have missed the "thus far" in my post. And that 28 allowed by Pit was the least amount of points given up to a Pats team this year.
The Pats put 32 up against the Bills and 51 against Jags.
Chew on that for awhile.

Man you people are slow.
Yes you can say I'm comparing them to the Jags because the Steelers D was supposed to be one of the worst in the league.
The talk was Ben and company would have to score 40 to win games.
Thus far they have been a pleasant surprise.
I don't know how else to explain this. Can anyone help?
Thus far the Bengals team has been a pleasant surprise no?
Hope that helped.

You gotta LOL at this considering they played the 49ers and Rams. Both bottom 5 offenses in the NFL.

NFL's scoring defense stat is broken, check this out.
Bengals' D has given up
13 to Oakland
19 to San Diego
18 to Baltimore (the fumble returned for 6 by Baltimore should not count against our defense as it's not even on the field, although the extra point would)
This is 50 points total over 3 games, which averages to 16.67777 points. NFL defense points given up says 18.67777, which would be the fumble return difference of 6 points over the 3 games or 2 per game.
Has it always been this way?
