As long as you have no problem keeping any political speech out of it, I don't see why you couldn't just start a financial thread in Klotsch.  It it gains momentum, I'd be happy to "sticky" it for you, so that it would always be at the top of the list.

Okay so I always see these buy gold commercials and I ask myself if gold is so great how come gold stocks never really go up? Barrick Gold $22 a share Yamana Gold $3.72 a share Eldorado Gold $7.74 a share I could go on and on those are crappy stocks

Except those are just the names of stocks.  Gold is a commodity all it's own.  It's own value rises and falls dependent on how things are going int he World market.  During tough times, tangible currencies, like Gold, go up in value, as there is only so much of it in the World.  Fiat currencies, like printed money, can just be "manufactured" out of thin air, so to speak.

So, unless you're purchasing actual Gold, those stocks with "Gold" in the title are likely just as useless as paper money when push comes to shove.

I’ve always liked the idea. It would be interesting in having a conversation about what stocks are attractive and why? Plus, I’ve been interested in the past to start a fantasy investing competition with others on the board. I mentioned it several months back but only had 1 member interested. Rightfully so I guess, because it would last a few months.

I bought some shares a few weeks ago of Walmart, Anheuser Busch, Exxon and Starwood property trust. Although I am up a little over 10% gains, which I thought would happen, I mainly bought these because of the dividends.
