Another "too much time on my hands" thread.
Looking at the twenty players taken at #33 since 2000 it looks like we should get a decent player, but maybe not a superstar.
-Not counting the guys in the last 3 drafts (all of whom already have at least one season as a starter) only 3 players do not have at least 3 seasons as a starter. (WR Brian Quick '12, DB Ras-I Dowling '11, DE Kevin Dodd '16). Every other player taken at #33 has at least 50 starts.
-Over half of the players (11) were starters for at least 5 seasons
-Only two Pro Bowl players have been selected at #33 over the last 20 years. LB DeMeco Ryan '06, S Landon Collins '15.Collins was also All Pro.
-There are two Bengal guards on the list of players taken at #33. (Eric Steinbach '03, Xavier Su'a-Filo) Former Bengal Karlos Dansby is also on the list.
-The most popular position was DB (6) followed by WR (4)
