I think I agree with most of this. But Bailey will probably end up on the PS. Still think Evans makes it over him, but wouldn't be shocked if Evans is cut.

You're wrong there Fred. Baltimore wanted him back and they were fighting for his services. Bengals won out by paying him more. Baltimore obviously would want him back. They drafted LB's in the draft as well.

Will be really interesting seeing how Lou puts all these pieces together and what his plan is. I thought we were going to a 3-4
hybrid until the Kareem pick and then thought it might be more of a 3-3-5 after this more often. Should be very unpredictable 
on Defense with all these players and the way Lou can use them.

Josh Bynes has been the guy teams bring in to hold down an ILB but are always looking to upgrade. He's smart, instinctive, and is solid in his run fits but his lack of speed and athleticism makes him a liability in man coverage.

He's a great add in a LB room with alot of young players, and he knows the AFC North.

They've really concentrated on guys who can stop the run and tackle...2 things that have plagued this defense for the past few years. It's so demoralizing to watch a defense get run all over, time after time, and not able to do anything about it. Even worse is watching plays / drives get extended because tackles are being missed all over the field. Just frustrating as hell to watch.

If all these additions can shore up the tackling issues and can contain the run much more successfully, then Lou will have a lot more options in terms of blitzing and coverages. I'm really looking forward to seeing how this revamped defense takes shape this year.

We signed him for close to the league minimum.  So Ravens were not trying to hard to re-sign him.

if the Defense plays like they did at the end of Last season then this team will surprise a lot of people including Homers on this board. I'm going to get a ton of heat for saying this but I wouldn't be that shocked if we're in the AFC championship game next season. Of course health will have a lot to say in that.

Someone like TLL would say that late last season when the Defense played decent they were against crappy Offenses.

But with adding Reader, Waynes, Alexander, Vonn Bell, Logan Wilson, Davis-Gaither, Kareem, Bailey this Defense is stacked.

And Burrow and Higgins on Offense with AJ, Boyd, Ross and Tate to go along with the best ST's unit in the league that just got
better? I am not giving you no heat J24, anything is possible, especially after this Offseason. What makes this the most possible
after this is adding XSF and Adeniji with Jonah coming back and the way the OL improved late last season.

While listening to the "locked on Bengals Podcast", which is excellent BTW, when Bynes was signed they covered his ratings for his career and, ironically, his pass defense ratings have gone up each year, with last year being his career high.  I don't remember the exact rating (PFF) but I know it was higher than anyone on this roster.  

That being said, I completely agree with your first statement.

Seems obvious the Ravens defense got better when he arrived and will be a steady influence and mentor for our D. Not sure how anyone could argue that point.
