Yup

Pitchers regularly run out of steam in the 5th or even 4th inning today. Rest in peace Tom.

Seaver holds the major league record striking 10 consecutive batters out. As a trivia answer...the ten batters were the last 10 batters in a 2-1 victory. He struck out the last batter in the 6th, and closed the game out striking out the side in the last three innings.
