Workouts/Visits
#1
This is something I just don’t understand about the front office/coaching staff. Every week I see teams bringing in guys for tryouts and visits to try to improve their roster. These are teams that are perennial winners and also teams that have lost the week prior and they are trying to improve. Why don’t we do this? We keep recycling the same turds from our practice squad to the active roster. Example: Torry McTyer. Why can’t we bring some guys in to at least give a small impression that we are trying to improve our personnel. I mean damn we are 2-17 since last year. Obviously things aren’t working and we could use upgrades.

Because there really aren't guys out there that would improve this roster.

That’s not true at all. And that’s probably the same mindset as our front office. That’s why we are where we are. This is just a current list of free agents. That’s not taking into account other teams practice squads. Let’s be honest our practice squad is pretty underwhelming.

Eh, again, there's not a guy on that list that I would be begging to get in here.

You stop it right now. The scary thing is, he would be an improvement over Hart....man, I really dislike Hart.

That's right.  Those guys are still out there for a reason.  That reason is likely that teams just don't think that they're worth the money their asking for.

Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

I'm thinking if we put him at Right Guard, it would at least take the Defense longer to run around him than it does to run though Johnson or Price

Eh, there's at least a few names there that it wouldn't absolutely hurt to look at...especially OL and DL. There's Dareus, Long, Wake (for pass specialist), Snacks (especially after that last outing). But maybe those guys are past their prime but could help win a game or two
