Speed and quickness are not Taylor guys. He would rather have posession guys like Tate, Thomas, Erickson. Taylor's offensive scheme is trash. I honestly believe Tyreek Hill would be ineffective here because he's not a Taylor guy.

Selecting Burrow was the right move and I have no doubt about that.

The mistakes made have more to do with the OL player selection and the coaching selection.

There are many 1 win teams right now and the Bengals get a bump because they also have a tie with the 1 win Eagles, so they'll lose out on draft position and get knocked down a notch because of that tie.

The Bengals do not need the #1 overall pick to get a fantastic player in the upcoming draft.

You get that with Ross, but you have to deal with the inconsistency.

Should a guy like Jaylen Waddle or Devonta Smith be a target for the Bengals in Rd 1?

Probably not.  They will fall in love with flashy new toy instead of building a team from the trenches.  Balt and pitt get it, and win.  The Bengals....

Cleveland now, too. Drafted Willis in the 1st (bit of a wash since we took Jonah), added Conklin in FA, and brought in one of the best OL coaches in the league.

Result? 4-1. Their best start in years.

Until yesterday, I would have pegged these guys for 9/10 overall. But Snac and Co. really stepped it up. That team was truly toothless and pathetic, and definitely deserves to be mentioned in the same breath with WAS, NYG, JAX and really anyone else other than the NYJ.

I like where we are. Comfortable and safe territory.

NFL is a coaching league. You have a coach like Taylor you have no shot regardless of talent.

That along with the coaching and talent in the rest of the AFCN and there's trouble in the jungle for years to come. They've left us behind. Far behind. Cleveland left a light of hope on in the basement with Burrow, but that's about all.

We are in for a dark era. Burrow can't save the ship. Likely 5-10 years out before competing for the division (including another coaching change depending on when MB figures it out. 

We'll be in the running for the 1OA pick for the next couple years.

Idk about 5-10 years. I’m a bit more optimistic than that. Give Burrow even a mediocre OL, replace the aging players (AJ, Geno, Dunlap) and continue to add in FA like we did this year, and I think we could be competitive within a couple years.

Coaching is obviously a big question mark, but we have a solid core to build around (Burrow, Mixon, Boyd, Jonah, Tee, Hubbard, Lawson, Bates, Wilson, WJ3).

Absolutely not.

This is a good year for O-line and CB.  I don't think WR is a top need with Tee and Boyd.  I think you can add a guy in rounds 3-5 and be in good shape.

I think that's somewhat in the neighborhood - especially since we have the tie.

5-10-1 Arizona drafted 8th last year.  I think that's the spot +/- 3.

I think this is a 5 win team this year. I see them picking 10th next draft. They could still trade down for extra picks but at 10th, not a lot of room and value. A team may want Lance (QB) and make an offer but I don't know what the Bengals could garner if they have the 10th pick.

J. Chase WR would be considered high value at 10th pick and would reunite with Burrow. With Ross and Green likely gone next year, I think Bengals could go WR or even Freiermuth TE round 1 but I think Bengals could get that kid from Florida State (Terry) or Marshall from LSU in round 2 next year.

Would not surprise me one bit if they go DE (Rousseau) or Parsons (LB) before an OL in round 1. Maybe even Farley CB. They should take BPA (apart from QB), however, but damn, would not surprise me if they ignore OL again given Tobin's swing-and-miss record when drafting OL players early. Leatherwood may be a reach at 10 spot but would be so nice to have even at guard.

I still think Hakeem (6th rounder) has the most upside on the team and can be something special but not sure since the team is slowly moving him along. That guard for New England, Onwenu, was drafted in 6th round and I wanted Bengals to get him, he is rated as one of the best run blocking guards thus far. OL players can be found later in draft but it doesn't help when you have a nitwit as OL coach.

There are many holes on this team but I think the defense is a lot closer then many realize. Just got to protect that QB of future.
