Yeah.... I think you're right. For some reason, I thought I saw 60, but Spain was starting at RG I believe. So, if so, he still was watching inside, but Hopkins had his man. IDK, with so many issues, it's hard to tell who's messing up.

Then add in the fact that there are plays where his effort is very questionable and it's a disaster.
I don't doubt communication/scheme is part of the problem but damn how do you just let rushers pass you by time and time again and just holler lookout !
This last games example is not in any way an isolated event.
Not at all isolated, he wasn't very good at FSU either.

Let's say we bring in Sewell and another good prospect at guard in 3rd round. Get a vet good G/C in free agency, Williams comes back and does good, overhaul started.
Starting Oline next season Sewell, Spain, Vet FAC, Rookie G, Williams. Backups XSF, Adeniji, Hopkins, late draft pick, Johnson.
Shit can all the deadwood, Redmond, Hart, Jordan, Price
The following offseason another high round draft pick, another free agent pick up or cut from another team cap casualty. Like Wyche says this team is getting railed weekly because we're getting our asses handed to us in the trenches. It's got to be our offseason focus !
We can get 20 of the fastest receivers and RB's and DB's in the world on this team and it will matter not if we can't gat better, a lot better on the O and D line.
Unfortunately with Price, he's going to be paid his full amount whether he's on the team or not. There is $0 cap savings if he's not on the team.
So I doubt the Bengals part ways with him.
Trey Hopkins, on the other hand, will count $6.5 mill toward next year's cap and $7.1 mill toward the cap in 2022. He would have a dead cap of $2.25 mill if cut this coming offseason, which would result in savings of $4.25 mill in 2021.
They also have BJ Finney for 2021 with a cap hit of $3.5 mill. There's no dead cap if he's released.
Taylor may want to bring in Austin Blythe, who is the C for the Rams and set to hit FA this offseason if he isn't tagged. Blythe has been good this year and good in 2018, but he was not good in 2017 or 2019. He's rated the 8th best C this year according to PFF.
Would you consider cutting both Finney and Hopkins for a total cap savings of $7.75 mill to bring in Blythe, who will probably command about $10 mill a year?
Or would you rather keep Hopkins and bring in a high-profile FA guard?
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

I dunno if I'd go that far, but he's definitely not starter-worthy.
The team needs to either find an upgrade in the offseason or extend Spain so either he or XSF starts over Jordan.

Accorinding to this https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/cincinnati-bengals/billy-price-25116/ there are cap savings to be had if he was to be released.
Pre-6/1 Release 2021 Dead Cap: $1,649,546 2021 Cap Savings: $2,077,158
Pre-6/1 Trade 2021 Dead Cap: $1,649,546 2021 Cap Savings: $2,077,158
Post-6/1 Release 2021 Dead Cap: $1,649,546 2022 Dead Cap: $0 2021 Cap Savings: $2,077,158
Post-6/1 Trade 2021 Dead Cap: $1,649,546 2022 Dead Cap: $0 2021 Cap Savings: $2,077,158
*Note I just copied and pasted the section, all the numbers are the same. We can keep him for a total cost of 3.726 million dollars, or we can eat 1.649 mil and save 2.077 mil by parting ways.

Yeah Ocho... you're right it was Spain. I just watched the gif. If Hart wasn't expecting inside help, that was just awful.

I'm probably exaggerating a tad...but damn, he had a 7.1 in pass pro yesterday? Dude, that's like really bad....lol.

Interesting, as OverTheCap says Price will have the following for 2021:
Cap number = $3.726 mill
Dead Money = $3.726 mill
Cap Savings = $0 if released (regardless of pre or post 6/1)
https://overthecap.com/player/billy-price/6906/
From playing around with the cut and trade options, the only way to get any savings is from a trade. And that savings would be $2.077 mill.

Hmm, that is strange. Not sure which site is correct.
Probably doesn't matter either way. They won't want to eat 40% of what it would cost to keep him, nor do they want to admit such tremendous failure by cutting a 1st round pick after 3 years.

I wonder what the plan is for BJ Finney.
If Price sticks around, I can't imagine they'd have him as the starter. So one has to assume the starter will be Hopkins, Finney, or some new guy.
I don't see BJ Finney getting any opportunities, so you have to wonder if he's a cap casualty after the season. $3.5 mill can be that last bit to help bring in an upper-tier guy vs a lower-tier guy.
