MLB Free Agency 2020-2021

DeSclafani signs with the Giants, 1 year for $6,000,000.

Strange part of the MLB.com article was this . . .
DeSclafani is set to reunite with former Cincinnati teammate Gausman, who accepted a one-year, $18.9 qualifying offer to remain in San Francisco. Johnny Cueto and Logan Webb are also projected to be in the Giants’ rotation, along with Tyler Beede, who could be ready to return from Tommy John surgery in May.

Gausman was flat out let go by Atlanta, picked up by Cincy who non-tendered him, signs with the Giants for one year and is now apparently worth $18.9 million. Baseball is a weird game.

Heyman  is a New York hack.  Do I doubt that these players are being discussed?  Absolutely not.  DO I think deals are imminent?  Not likely.  The Reds are apparently, and correctly, asking a high price for their pitching.  If they trade them, it had better be for a godfather offer.  This goes double for Castillo due to his very cheap contract and age.
