I read Metamorphosis
#1
Mostly so I could legit say “Kafkaesque”. Not what I envisioned. Did not realize it was a novella, and didn’t know dude was going to be a bug. Whenever I heard Kafka I always thought of a story like Job. Like an unknown malevolent force destroys someone’s life piece by piece. I guess that happened in a way, but obviously not the way I thought.

Personally I don’t get it. I’m no literary expert and I’m sure there are a metaphors galore commenting on society or economics or whatever. I’ll leave it to the experts to decipher what a sixty page book about a human bug is all about.
