Tre Boston Safety

Recently released. He had a bad season last year but before that he's been solid his entire career. I'd like to sign him and put him where Shawn Williams was. The money we save by cutting Uzomah should cover most of this signing. thoughts?

I would have to imagine that he'll want to go somewhere that he can start. The Panthers are just clearing up cap space to bring Moton back, otherwise I'd think he would've been back there.

What do you mean by "bad season"?  According to ProFootballOusiders, he posted the highest AV of his career this season.  Looks to me like the dude is going to get paid by someone.

Edit: Excuse me, I meant Pro Football Reference

pff graded him a 53.8 last year

tied for 14th in tackles
36th in INT's
52nd in targets
15th in receptions allowed

He really killed it last year huh?

Meh, as is often discussed around here, PFF ratings are skeptical.  Look at his actual stat line.  He produced well, and while the AV rating is hard to define, but if you look at enough players and compare their respective AV rating, you definitely know that 6 is higher than 4.
