Reportedly the Bengals have an Offensive Coach (OC or QB Coach) in College Station to watch Kellen Mond at Texas A&M Pro Day.

Washington Edge Joe Tryon just had a very nice pro day.

It be like taking John Ross before Mahomes Teams are apparently assuming we take Chase. Why would we let someone else get the value of a top QB when we pick in front of them.

Rule of thumb I have followed when looking at pro day 40s is to add .08 seconds onto the time to account for the difference between hand timed and laser timed. So, I’m reading Chase as a 4.46 on that first run.

I've seen that the +.07 is the differential but Ive also seen Charley Casslery hand time prospects for years at the combine and his times were always almost perfect. He was also to fast and to slow on some. If Ja'Marr Chase runs another high 4.3 to low 4.4 I'm gonna call him that.

There is plenty of data that tells us athletes routinely run faster 40s at their pro days, sometimes significantly faster (Braxton Miller running a 4.5 at the combine and then running a 4.3 at the pro day, for instance). I don’t believe Chase is a 4.3 kind of guy, but I also don’t think that this is a big deal. There is plenty of tape that shows he is fast enough.

His vert and broad jump measures his explosion and they are crazy numbers for a WR. Though Kyle Pitts just posted a 10-9 Broad which is just as insane for a 6'5.5 245lb guy. Kadarius Toney had a 11'4 Broad Jump lol.

Posting 23 reps on the bench is ridiculous for a WR. Don’t even get me started on Pitts. Dude is a superhuman athlete.

Edit:
He also veers off his line at the beginning too adding a couple hundredths of a second.
