Some quick math tells me without Marvin's years, they had a .376 winning %. Far and away dead last, but I imagine if you took each teams best regular season coach out of there, there'd still be a couple worse.

EDIT: The Cardinals minus Bruce Arians' just 5 years as HC would be at .380, so barely better.

It is kind of strange how we moved on from the coach with the best win percentage in Bengals history to the coach with the worst.

Mike Brown's portion of the 16 game season era is:
199 wins 284 losses 4 ties or 0.412 which is a notch down barely beats the Cardinals.

I counted '91 as Mike Brown.  I assume that is why our numbers are different.

They had to move on from Lewis. It was something that had to happen. The two problems were they didn't move on early enough, and when they finally did move on, they made a terrible hiring.

Personally I thought after '13 they needed to move on from Lewis. They lost to an inferior Chargers team for their third straight first round loss, and it had been 11 years and it was pretty clear it wasn't going to happen. That was the perfect time to let Zimmer take over so he didn't leave the team, and go out and grab a veteran OC while the window was still wide open for that group.

Not that I intended for this thread to turn into a Lewis/Zimmer/etc thread. Lol

We are basically the Lions of the AFC. 22 more wins over the span of 40+ years isn't much, and our playoff win droughts are the laughingstock of the league. At least the Lions dumped Millen after awhile. We're stuck with the Brown family.
