As some of you have said addiction has a lot to do with the way your brain is wired.

I used all sorts of highly addictive drugs but never developed an addiction.

I even used to smoke cigarettes for the head rush they gave me but never became a smoker.

But I can't brag about my superior will power because I can't control my eating habits.

My wife and I used hypnosis. It worked beautifully for her, she instantly became a nonsmoker. It took enough of the edge off to get me past the 2 month wall I always hit in previous attempts. I also used location prep. For 3 months prior I only smoked in 3 spots that I knew I could stay away from once I quit, ie front porch, in front of the hotel. I stopped smoking in the car and house, for instance.

There are good hypnotherapists, but there are plenty of incompetents, lol.
