The controversies just keep following Brady. Seems he played the whole season last year with a completely torn MCL, which was not disclosed by the team as rules require. If the league finds out the Buccaneers knew about it, I read it could be huge fines and lost of possible draft picks.

There is the rub. That will be incredibly difficult to prove anyone knew without the FBI or similar doing the digging.

So, so true. Nice one!
This really doesn't bother me at all. Teams were preparing to face an old, immobile QB who refuses to take hits anymore and that's exactly what they got on Sundays. I get bothered when injuries are hidden and starters are announced inactive on gameday.
Btw- How are we feeling in the Jungle? Excited to get started?

Cautiously optimistic. It all depends upon the OL's ability to develop some continuity.
Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

I like some of the talent we have on both sides of the ball... But we still have the worst coaching staff in the league by a wide margin so idk for me its put up or shut up for ZT and crew....

For sure. If the Oline plays well, there will be plenty of games where the Bengals offense is the best unit on both sides of the ball. I liked Carmen a lot. Wondering if he'll earn that spot in camp. That unit really has to fix its communication issues too but the talent is finally there. Need to stay healthy and gel.

I try to be really objective but I'm not a Zac fan at all. Seems like he'd be a better OC than HC. Burrow's gonna need the coaches' help too imo. That first year back from a major injury can be a mental hurdle. I saw it with Flacco. He was tough as nails but the first year back from his knee injury was a challenge. Changed the way he played and took him most of the season to get back to normal.

right and throwing it 60 times a game wont help that... we gotta have a run game this year and the coach doesnt seem to understand that very well

I am a Zac fan, but I'm more a fan of what he has done with the team rather than his record. That said, I'm not sure he wouldn't be a better GM than OC or HC. That said, I am very excited to get the season started and see what the combination of Burrow to Chase, Higgins and Boyd brings....

Exactly how I feel about the run game. And I hope Bengals fans are patient with Burrow if he looks out of sync, isn't stepping into to throws or struggling a bit with something to start the year.
Flacco took the field with two torn ligaments when the backup got hurt. He played so beat up that he had to stand up on a plane ride home from NE. Say whatever you want about his game, but Joe was mentally and physically tough and a vet when he got injured in the pocket. Burrow will have some challenges. Maybe he'll pick up better than he left off but I think y'all should be practical about it. Run the ball, take some pressure off. He'll be fine, he's too talented. Just don't ask him to be Superman right now.

Actually I think Zac would be a better HC if he just stuck to that and hired a proven OC. Too much on his plate trying to be the HC
and the OC. He has done a very good job of putting a good team together in my opinion and was given a shit roster. Think we will
know much better how good he actually is with his own roster this season. Expecting us to be pretty damn good this year with this
roster.
Of course barring injuries. Kind of hard to coach a team with terrible play on both sides of the trenches which Taylor inherited.
Think we are really improved in the trenches after the moves that have been made. We will see.

I could see that too, definitely wouldn't be the first time. You guys have seen more of him than me. But I thought in the games vs my team they looked unprepared or unmotivated, I'm not sure. Probably where my initial thoughts are coming from. We've run the same kind of blitzes for a few years, LBs looked out of place vs the run. It just didn't come off as a well coached team in those games. I do think the Bengals should be a lot better this year. Can't wait, the season is pretty much here.

Outside of Bynes, our linebackers last year were really green. Should be better this year, especially with an improved D line in front of them.

Yeah, when we played you guys we were just outclassed coaching wise. Don't know why our main thing wasn't stopping the run
and making Lamar beat us passing the ball out of the pocket. I don't care for our DC at all, Lou Anarumo has sucked since being
here and wanted him fired after last season but maybe having a decent DL and the LB's growing will help. Bet they will.

True, they were all rookies besides Bynes and Evans. I think Logan Wilson was our best LB last year and he should make a
huge jump this year along with Akeem Davis-Gaither and Markus Bailey. Nice adding Joseph Ossai to our group who can stand
up and play LB in a pinch. Our DL was just terrible with bottom of the barrel DT's playing in front of our LB's.
The injuries to our DT's cannot be mentioned enough and Geno didn't show up last season.

So back to the topic..lol… I see the Brady thing as a non issue. Yeah, the team ‘should’ disclose the info. For safety reasons. But as soon as they do everyone knows about it, which can lead to teams targeting the knee in indirect ways. I think it’s pretty common that teams brush off injuries—mainly lesser injuries. It makes sense to try to maintain the appearance of a level playing field by not disclosing the injury. I don’t know if they get fined or not, but I don’t think it was poor sportsmanship in any fashion to not disclose the injury. Deflating the footballs was kinda poor sportsmanship—but at the same time—both teams were playing with the slightly deflated balls.
