1095 days
#1
Its been 1095 days (Sept 9 2018) since the Bengals
Have won in  the opening week.
34 23 win over the Colts.
I recall that game vividly.
The Colts were driving to take the lead.
Jack Doyle caught a pass to keep the chains
Moving. Somebody wrapped him.up.
The ball comes out and Clayton Fedjalham
Makes his only play with the Bengals ever
And scoops it up for a 70 something
Yd game sealing TD.
Ironically that was the last year the Bengals were over
.500 at any point.4 and 1 and Lazors offense was catching Fire.
Winning week 1 is very crucial for this team.
Its 23 and 32 in franchise history in the opening week
In 14 of those opening week wins, the Bengals were headed to playoffs.
2018 looked promising before the injuries hit.
If the Bengals dont come out the gate 1 and 0
History says not good for us Bengals fans

You can edit the thread title just by hovering over it.

BTW 3 of the last 6 times we made the playoffs we started the season with a loss ('09, '12' '13).  In 2012 we were blown out 44-13 on opening day and started the season 3-5 before finishing 7-1 to make the postseason.

But overall we are 10-4 on opening day in our playoff seasons.

My thoughts exactly. Little dramatic giving a day counter for something you only get a shot at once every 365 days. You can get some really eye popping numbers cherry-picking Olympic Games/medals if you give the days as well lol

That said I do think this first game is important to win. Not the end of the season if they don’t but with the difficulty of the first half vs second half of the schedule it’s important to get off to a good start this year if this team is going to do anything good

WOW! You mean it's been since Taylor became head coach that the Bengals haven't won on opening day! WOW!

I'd just like to point out that Fedj made many plays as a Bengal.
