Zac Taylor isn’t going anywhere, unless this team just absolutely hits rock bottom.I know Mike Brown. And if you’ve been a Bengals fan for very long, you should know that as well. But,at this point, hitting rock bottom is very possible.

This is the next move in the matrix program that is the Bengals. Taylor finally gets fired after a 3-8 start, Simmons goes 3-3 and gets the extension. Burrow and Chase loudly lament not going after Brady. They hope Smith and Carmen become star guards, one becomes starter quality but we still aren't good enough on the line. After year 3 Burrow demands a trade and we lose our LBJ type local star that's bigger than the team because of our "system". This is a cliche gripe post, I just don't want to see any of this.

If the interim guy then goes 2-4, they then call that "positive progress" and keep him around, but there was a reason why you didn't choose him as the HC before and that reason likely didn't change.
Also once a guy is made interim HC, it's hard to demote him back down to his previous role, so it normally makes him have to leave.
Agreed, and this is why I'd rather let Zac finish out the season...so "the family" isn't tempted to screw up yet again and keep an underqualified guy as HC for another 3-10 years. Btw, I'm stunned no one has said "it's too soon" or "we're only 1-1" yet. Is there something we all agree on?

Y'all just love to live in misery. We are 1-1, along with the entire AFCN, and we lost by 3 points... there is no discussion going on at PBS about firing Taylor.

He’s 7-26-1 (.221) with a single road win in 2+ seasons…
If his seat isn’t hot something is terribly wrong.

Yes, his overall is not good, horrible in fact. But it's a new season and this is the season he will be graded on. MB is loath to change HC's because he knows that means implementing a new system and another few years to get up and running, in most cases. ZT is sitting at .500 right now this season, as is the rest of the AFCN, and now has the #6 defense in the league. This discussion might have relevance if and when he continues to lose. It's premature right now.

Ruining Burrow (who is headed to a second injury shortened season) should be enough to get him fired regardless. A top draft pick and former superstar QB prospect, not even in discussion as one of the future bright qb's and a bottom 6 QB on most QB rankings.
This is significant failure, and heads should roll.
If you want to save whatever we have left in Burrow's once promising career, ZT and co has to go. This may be why we see MB make a move quicker then expected (not mid year tho).

While he's the best choice id worry then if he was not hired to be HC we would have lost his as the Special teams coordinator.

we might be 1-1 this season but we should be 0-2 based on that fumble in OT (that still doesnt look like a fumble)
But its not just about these games.... Its about him still looking as clueless as the last 2 years... Which everyone said would be different after this offseason now that he has his team... well When the buss driver is blind everyone goes off the cliff.

We should be 2-0 based on the missed tackle in the 4th QTR on Sunday.
Shoulda coulda wouldas mean nothing in the NFL. Only the actual record matters.

We should have been 2-0 because if they hadn't mugged Higgins on the non-holding call play, he was headed for the end zone.

Well said. He really does look like an average QB coach trying to be a Head Coach.

There are legit things to complain about right now, but this just sounds like a kid throwing a tantrum. Also, never go all caps dude.
