Bets To Make In Vegas This Weekend?!
#21
(11-16-2021, 06:02 PM)BFritz21 Wrote: I'm flying out there on Friday night and flying back on Monday morning.

I've mentioned it before but I'm not going to the actual game but I'll be in the sportsbook a lot.

I'm thinking of not betting our game just because I want to have fun watching it, but are there any bets for the game that you WOULD make?

What about bets on the rest of the season?!

Any bets about next season?

Any bets about any other games on Saturday or Sunday?!

THANKS IN ADVANCE!

I don't have anything for next season, but if you are looking for a long shot (and if there are even odds) a junior QB that is having a solid year as a Heisman candidate for 2022 would be a fun long shot.  Like Matt Corrall from Ole Miss or someone like that.  Do some research on up and coming players this year that will be around next year.

For this weekend:

It almost seems too good to be true, but Purdue puts up points like nobody's business against the #3 team in the land, has a solid defense (don't judge just OSU game) and Northwestern can't score at all.  Purdue -12 is a bet for me.

NFL:

It seems like Buffalo has hit its stride again, and is favored by 7 points against the Colts, who's only loss in the last 5 weeks has been Tennessee in OT.  I like the Colts +7.  Bills are starting to feel the Pats breathing down their neck.  I think they win, but not by more than 7.  Colts may even pull the upset, and if you bet the Colts money line, it pays out a lot.  Maybe risk less and bet the money line?

No one will like this game, but I actually think the Vikings, at home, find a way to beat Green Bay this weekend.  This is just that type of season.  I think the Packers don't feel any pressure of competition in their division and the Vikes are desperate.  I like the Vikes -2.5, but I might wait until closer to the game as I bet a lot of late money comes in on GB.

I never bet the Bengals games, because when I do, it feels like I lose twice, but I think they win this game by 10 points.

Remember, Brad...this is for fun ONLY.  Like the blackjack table, don't put down more than you can afford to lose.  Not trying to sound like a dad, but just want to make sure you don't get a nut punch.  Good luck, and  have a great time!

An interesting note about betting games is what Draft Kings reported in earnings a couple of weeks ago. They lost more money than expected because the bettors were beating them. You would think a betting house would have that part of that down. But the resources to bettors have never been better to analyze games with. Draft Kings has said that this will only encourage more betting for the rest of the year, which is a good thing they say, but it would be a bad thing for them if the trend continues. Draft Kings stock dropped 20 percent this month based on the results.

I'll be in Vegas this weekend - getting in Saturday morning around 8 am and leaving Monday. I will be at the game repping.

Haven't started my research yet for games this weekend, that's a Friday at work thing for me.

Got a couple good dinners planned, good brunch, etc. I'm getting pretty excited. I am going with my brother in law though who is absolutely insane so I'm just hoping he doesn't keep me up until 4 am every night lol.

I'm taking a set amount out there and not getting any out of an ATM. Just going out fo fun with the bros and to take it all in. They're not much of gamblers, so I own't even have a chance to get out of line. I'll probably make a lot of prop bets for the Bengals game (and maybe future) to get to certain stats.

I'll probably make a bunch of bets on parlay long shots and just hope they pay off big.

Thanks for the advice!

I'll definitely be checking the boards on my phone and let me know if you come across any good-looking bets!

I'll also probably bet some college games.

I don't know enough about it to make a decision on any of it, but it's a shame and I feel like it's tarnishing his legacy.

I do hope you can get one more out of him but hopefully you'll be playing us and we win our first!

I hope he shapes up. The games he played last offseason was not good. Hopefully he gets more humble.

Yes, I just quoted my own post.  But, hey, allow me to take a victory lap going 4 for 4 against the spread this weekend!!!

Brad, I hope it was a great weekend.  Hope you share pics and made some KASH.

Not that many pics but had a GREAT time! Struggled the first night, won a decent amount on craps the second day, and then, on Sunday, won some money on the Bengals and then was up A LOT MORE and we hit two blackjack tables where the dealers were just on fire. I'm talking we'd be showing 6 4 or 8 3 with the dealer showing 5, so we'd double down and hit a 9 or 10 and the dealer would turn over either a 5 or 6 and hit a face card or ace or they'd even have like 13 and hit an 8.

It was ridiculous.

Got a Bengals W though so who cares?!
