The guy did win the Thorpe over your favorite cornerbacks.
So why not him in round one? Just a thought.

I'm not really sure why I haven't really seen Bryant's name mentioned in the early rounds in terms of prospect rankings.
He's been pretty consistent season after season in college.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season Zac Taylor 2024: 3-5 so far. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive. Sorry for Party Rocking!

I think one could make an argument that Bryant's ball skills are up there with those guys. Bryant - 9 INTs, 35 PBUs over 52 games Gardner - 9 INTs, 16 PBUs over 32 games Stingley - 6 INTs, 20 PBUs over 25 games Elam - 5 INTs, 20 PBUs over 30 games Booth - 3 INTs, 9 PBUs over 25 games From what I read though, Bryant only has 4.5 speed, which is slower than preferred for an outside CB nowadays. I could see that keeping him lower than some of these other guys if true.

Because I didn't watch every UC game the past 2 years, I'm mainly going off of others, so it may be more opinion and less accurate. Did want to bring up, Leon Hall (71 PD, 18 INTs) had more picks+PsD when Joseph (56 PD, 14 INTs) was here, but Joseph isn't the better cover guy and had the better ball skills. |
