Not upset with this one. With Lorenzen gone and now Garrett, hopefully Bell has less late inning implosions on the mound. He had way too much faith in both of those idiots.

Pretty odd that this dude makes about the same amount of money as Miley and Gray. Makes unloading Miley for literally nothing seem pretty illogical. KC must have paid some of Minor's deal for it to make any sense.

Word is $500k.

So they got Mike Minor for $9.5m (plus a $1m buyout in 2023) rather than Wade Miley for $10m. It doesn't make any sense at all and just continues to prove the point that the Reds have no idea what the hell they're doing or how to run a successful MLB FO.

Makes sense if Miley didnt want to be a Red anymore.......dont forget thats a piece of the puzzle too, same with other players.

Then you pick up the option and you trade him. You don't let him walk for literally nothing. PTBNL is still more than nothing.

Harder too do with a pending league shut down and not knowing if you can even trade him.  No shut down and maybe you take that chance.

They put him on waivers back at the beginning of November just a day or two after trading Tucker Barnhart.

There is no excuse that you can make up that will make letting Miley go for nothing while grabbing Minor (and his hurt shoulder).
