Which player under 23 breaks out because at least 1 will
#1
Here is a list of players who are currently under 23.

Trayveon Williams
Jonah Williams
Hakeem Adeniji
Akeem Davis Gaither
Joe Bachie
Khalid Kareem
Wyatt Hubert
Tyler Shelvin
D'Ante Smith
Chris Evans
Keandre Jones
Tee Higgins
Evan McPherson
Joseph Ossai
Jamarr Chase
Cam Sample
Jackson Carmen
Trey Hill

For the purpose of the thread I define "breakout" as the action of providing more value to your team than you did the previous year. So by this definition NO ONE should be picking Higgins, Evan or Chase because there is no way they provide more value than they did this year. You only get ONE pick.

My guy is Joseph Ossai.
I see no one else at a position of need that will be slated to actually play given they healthy and kept their form from the previous year.

My 2nd is Chris Evans for obvious reasons, but NO PICKING 2 GUYS. If you mention a second guy please rank him above or below the guy you specify.

Ossai seems too generic of a guess, given he played zero snaps and basically anything is an improvement. Won’t pick him, or Hubert (who I’m also high on) for that reason.

I’m going to go with Bachie. I’m shocked he went undrafted. From what we saw he showed flashes in limited snaps. I’m going to be bold and say he solidifies himself as LB3 next year. He looked like he had good instincts and knew what to do on every play. Base 3 LB packages are becoming more and more rare, and therefore the SAM linebacker is almost extinct but I think he establishes himself as that guy when we need one.

On a side note it really feels like Jonah is already 25. His 2019 classmate, Drew Sample, is not eligible for the list or else I might have picked him (depending on if he starts).

I'm going with Thadeus Moss... I don't think the Bengals are gonna sign a TE in FA. Moss and Sample will split time equally to start the year and by week 5, I see Moss taking over the TE position.. 800+ yards and 7+ TDs....

I’ll throw my hat in for Shelvin - former five star, when we drafted him it looked like he decided to rebuild his entire game. He can get push but hasn’t added other moves but the base he has built is very promising.

Tee Higgins.

New and improved O-line
3rd year in the system
Possible rookie at TE
Healthy Joe Burrow
Joe Mixon may wind up being MVP of the league after finally playing behind a real NFL O-line, opening up play-action
This team should punt a lot less than last season.

Honorable Mention . . . MacPherson. I think he blows up even bigger next season and will have more opportunities.

Cool thread...

My guy will be Cam Sample.  Was progressing nicely before an injury derailed his season, but came back to finish strong.  He had two sacks his final three games, with a total of 16 pressures in 215 snaps.

I think he will be bigger and stronger and might see more action at 3T on pass rush snaps next year.

My second is Khalid Kareem because of the flashes he has shown, but he appears to have the bad luck gene on injuries (so I rank him below Sample by year two "leap" standards.
