After a pathetic defensive outing against a non-winning team, Steelers fans are now experiencing renewed excitement, thanks to limping into a sixth seed position halfway through the season as their glass QB nurses his boo-boo'd foot and future arena league MVP Le'veon Bell prepares for a post-season of binge-watching Netflix and smoking more weed.
Meanwhile, the undefeated Bengals look to an easy win on Monday night to continue their historic march to glory.
The big question is: what are Steelers fans excited about? Is it because they are barely in playoff position with 8 whole weeks to go and a decimated roster of weaklings? Or is it because they allowed a poor team to hang 35 points on their soft defense? Perhaps it's because the return of Big Ben did not culminate in a supposedly world-class offense that has only ever appeared on paper? Or maybe it's because all that matters to the Steelers is having a "respectable" season this year, given that the standards must lower since the talent clearly has.
I personally think Steelers fans should stop thinking playoffs and start thinking franchise relocation. Their fanbase will dwindle by at least 90% if they do not win a Super Bowl in the next 2 years, a pipe dream that any sane person chuckles at the mere thought of.
What say you?

Why is there random highlighted sections that don't seem to really highlight anything at all?

Let's stick to content, not style. That's a very well-informed, insightful post I just blessed you with; chew on the rock-solid logic of it for a while and then respond accordingly.

I really wonder how much trash Bengals fans can talk on the Steelers.
On the one hand, it's easy to mock them for the way this season is going. On the other, the history of the rivalry speaks for itself.
Admittedly it is funny to watch their fans squirm a bit.

Almost BGS-like, isn't it?
Johnstownsteel has returned. Could this signify that the return of BenGirlSmasher is inevitable and soon upon us?

The Steelers will be in the playoffs and are not done making a run at the division. They won't go quietly.

What say you?
I say you got greedy.
Bengals fans have enough smack material on the Steelers this year without having to resort to gross exaggerations that even Bengal fans will refute.
And yeah, the random bold font is a little weird.

That's true, they won't go quietly.
In fact, they will complain the whole time.

This could be the worst Smack Talk ever.
WTS, the Steelers are currently outside looking in. Jets and Bills are 5-6.

Yeah, their division hopes are pretty much toast. They have 2 division losses and no chance for a head to head tiebreaker. Their most likely scenario to win the AFCN is they win out and the Bengals go 4-4 in their remaining games without winning a division game.
Even making the playoffs will be tough for them. They play 4 straight games against playoffs contenders coming out of their bye[@Seattle, Indy, @Cinci, Denver], then play back to back division games on the road against rivals who will be looking to spoil their season. They are well behind on the Wild Card tiebreakers, with a 2-4 conference record and own head to head over the Raiders. They will definitely need 10 wins to have a chance.

you have an interesting view of assumed math. The Steelers can easily make a wildcard and are only 2 games behind the Bengals.
youve seen the Seahawks lose and only beat weak teams while the Steelers have won with back ups and you think Seattle will be tough?
Indy is dead.

You shouldn't talk about math when you say the Steelers are 2 back when they're actually 3.5 back.
