I suppose it could happen if the USFL gave a dude like a guaranteed 100+ million deal? Yeah, not happening.

That's what happened last time. They threw ridiculous amounts of cash at them. Some were able to skirt the NFL rule about not being able to be drafted if you still had eligibility.

Here's a pretty crazy list of every player that played in the USFL, that also has/had at least some NFL experience. You see names on there like Dave Lapham and Dan Ross, from the Bengals.

Where are ya'll watching this? Incidentally in researching the USFL I found the Fan Controlled Football league because I saw someone post somewhere about Terrell Owens and that's the league he was playing in.

It's on FOX, FS1, USA, Peacock, and NBC.

Wait, you guys are still watching?
I gave a couple of games a fair chance, but the talent level is just lacking. Some of the offenses are amateurishly bad. I'm surprised they couldn't land some better QBs to play in the league.

You expected 8 expansion Franchises to play perfect ball in the first couple of games?

No, not perfect but some of the offenses can barely move the ball and it isn't because there are defensive juggernauts opposing them.

It's pretty common for defenses to be ahead of offenses in early goings, of practices, seasons, etc.
The competitiveness has been pretty good (except for Pittsburgh lulz).
Four games in, i'd expect it to get more entertaining and they're just about halfway through the season so intensity will pick up as they get closer to playoffs and championships.
I agree the overall QB play hasn't been real good and the kickers are surprisingly and woefully bad. Other than that, i can watch and enjoy it.

I stand by what I said! The majority of the problem with the Majority of these start up leagues is because everything is new and the kinks need to be worked out.
Don't get me wrong there plenty of kinks with the USFL like having zero fans in the stadium!

Was Pittsburgh the team that cut a player over Pizza?

Which is cool if you're having fun watching it. I have read the kicking is bad. I wonder what has been the cause?

I don't know but it seems to me, with all the kickers in college, it shouldn't be nearly as bad as looking like they're signing guys off the street that never kicked before.
I know i've seen once, and maybe even twice, talk about how the particular kicker had never kicked in a football game before because he was a soccer player.
