If the Bengals go 15-0....
#81
People that aren't Bengals fans hardly remember that the Bengals appeared in two super bowls (because they lost) - but they would remember 16-0! I say go for 16 - 0! I guess the bigger question to me would be if you had a choice between winning the super bowl or going 16-0, which would you choose?

If I knew 15-1 meant we would win the Super Bowl, I pick that.

However, there's no guarantee.

Make history, go for 16-0. Rest a week. Win 3 more in a row. Be the greatest of all time.

Could you imagine a 19-0 Bengals team given all of our past mediocrity?  That would be awesome.

We could have 15 straight losing seasons after that and I'd become that guy who lives in the past and always refers back to the magical 19-0 season.

if both Bengals and Pats go 16-0 (I give this a .000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001% chance of happening)... who get #1?

I see Pats are picked as #1 right now with identical records...do they get in for the fifth step in tie breaking, the strength of victory?

If the Bengals and Pats both finish 16-0

their Records are Tied
Their AFC Records are Tied
Their Common games are Tied
there is no Head to Head.

So it will all depend on the records of the teams we beat. Which right now the Ravens Chargers and Browns are hurting us
