Draft is complete, what's next?

So they're either injured, didn't get starting offers or looking for better offers.  So now that the draft is over and people have their depth or starters from the first couple rounds, the lower quality vets will start signing those 1 yr depth or rare starter deals.  So imo, Spain and Reiff aren't signed due to wanting something better than a backup job or injury.

There were a lot of OT's, guards and centers drafted in first 3 rounds. This make these vets without a job having to think about taking less money to play in 2022. 2 million is better than zero, so I see some cheap contracts coming on the horizon, but more so as we approach July.

2024 may go on record as one of most underperforming teams in Bengal history. Bengal's FO has major work to do on defensive side of the ball. I say tag and trade Tee Higgins in 2025 to start with the rebuild.

It seems like we have plenty of cap space, it is just a matter if the Bengals front office wants to pay for the upgrade.  Seems like we won't be re-signing our safeties to long term after this draft, so might as well use some of that cap space.

Anderson has played 900 special teams snaps (!) in his college career, too.  I really like the guy.  Three time captain, finishing his masters in Leadership.
Yeah he's a great kid. I think he's gonna be a good one for us.

I am not in favor of using cap space to bury a second round pick on the depth chart before giving him a chance to develop. So if we do sign someone it would need tobe a one-year deal.

BTW we have other players that will be free agents in addition to our safeties.

I have not heard a thing on his contract demands.

The problem is the 4 ( Karras,Cappa,Collins, and Jonah are all well paid) so it’s the position group salary commitment as a whole is limiting.

Here is the link to the NFL.com analyst, who appears to know Anderson very well, and is very confident that he will be a Will LB and box safety.

It was clearly not a mixup with Weatherford.

And here is another source for being a LB: "Toledo defender Tycen Anderson is an intriguing mid-round prospect who projects best as a sub-package linebacker and third safety for an NFL franchise."

So starting Daxton as the 3rd S on the field while grooming Tycen to take over for next year.

I don't care what they said . I listened to the interviews with DUKE and he mentioned nothing about Anderson playing LB. So again I go by what i've heard from the bengals and not some supposed expert analyst. Go to the 20 minute mark he doesn't say anything about LB.
