Post- Draft Roster Update
#1
OK, the draft is in the books. I like Hill a lot. I like CTB a lot, but was not thrilled to give up a pick to get him. I'd have been happier staying put and taking him or Dean. Reached 8n Rd 3 and Rd 4 and gave up another pick to trade up in round 5. No WR/TE help. B+ early and a D late. Evens out to a C for me.

So where do things stand? Cannot be sure, but here is where I have things going into camp. There are still some unsigned FA's who could help, and there will be more cuts as well.

I don't think Travyon WIlliams makes the team this year. Shermari Jones is going to take his spot.

Drue Chrisman was on and off our practice squad like every week getting groomed to be Huber’s replacement

Kevin is a free agent.  He has signed 1-year contracts now for several years but so far he hasn't for next season.  No retirement announcement either. Darin Simmons said around the combine that there would be an open competition for punter but it also sounded like he expected Huber to re-sign...if that is what he wanted to do

Not sure that's the case.

Shermari Jones is more of a power back. He's not very shifty.
He isn't really a factor in the passing game either as a pass catcher or blocker.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

I'd be looking to add:
Spain
Dede Westbrook (WR4/PR)

Maybe also add:
A bigger vet RB like Peyton Barber or Kalen Ballage to replace Perine
An OT who can back up RT like Daryl Williams or even Tyrell Crosby. In Crosby's time in the NFL, he's never had a PFF rating lower than 62.4 and never had a pass block rating lower than 62.5. He's also always had a mean streak and is a mauler in the run game. He's better than Prince, no doubt about it.

All those guys combined would probably fit in $10 mill in cap or less, especially when you factor in roster displacement.

They have absolutely no thoughts on replacing Perine. I would imagine they’ll rock with Spain, Smith, Volson, and I bet Reiff in the OL. Trey Hill maybe too

With all the weapons CC had we don't know that he CAN'T do it. He may have not been asked to do it.

they're not gonna bring back Spain and Reif. They''ve already stated MANY times they are happy with what they have. If anything I think Spain could come back but that's it.

I wouldn't mind Keelan Cole WR either.

I don't see them paying what Reiff would want to bring him back to sit on the bench the majority of the season more than likely and it hurts the growth of the younger guys too.
