Reds no longer worst team in MLB
#1
They are tied with the KC Royals at 16-31, but the Royals have been outscored by 68 runs the Reds run differential is only -55. IN fact both the Pirates (-83) and the Nationals (-61) have been outscored by more than the Reds.

On offense the Reds are 19th (out of 30) in runs scored. They are 23rd in both slugging percentage and on-base percentage and 22nd in stolen bases.

Unfortunately we are still dead last in ERA by a wide margin (5.51 to 5.12). 27th in WHIP but pretty damn close to last place (1.46 to 1.49).

Minus the 1-20 stretch, they are 16-11.

Currently 14 games under .500, only 2.5 games behind the Cubs in the division.

Washington is 18-33, Reds are 17-32 so they are even on games but the Reds have a .454 to .453 winning percentage lead.

In two days they went from 30th to 29th and then to 28th. Next up, Oakland who are one game ahead of the Reds and the Tigers who are 1.5 games ahead.

Yup

I know they've got no hope for post season but I'd still love to see them end up around .500. Hell I'd be elated !

Washington and KC lose and Verlander is no hitting the A's through six innings but it's only a 1-0 lead.

Can the Reds move up three places in three days? Hopefully Hunter introduces them to a new Greene Monster in Fenway.

Seems like every year there is a "if you take away the ____ they're a .500 ball club". They may not have the worst record in baseball for the moment, but they're still the worst organization.

Reds have a better record than 3 teams (Nats, A's, Royals) and are within 1.5 games of 3 other teams (Pirates, Tigers, Cubs)

Reds have a better run differential (-53) than 6 teams (Pirates, Nats, Royals, A's, Tigers, Rockies).

Offensively we have scored more runs than SIXTEEN teams with an OPS better than 10 teams.

Pitching has a better ERA than 2 other teams (Royals, Nats) and a better WHIP than 3 (Royals, Nats, Rockies)

We have made fewer errors than 12 teams.
