Dolphins tanking penalty
#1
Stephen Ross gets a 6 game suspension, essentially, just like DeShaun Watson. Both are ridiculously short. If Calvin Ridley gets a year for gambling, Ross should not get less. The same integrity of the game is at risk. Dolphins forfeit 2023 1st round pick (that means Bengals pick 31 instead of 32!) and 2024 3rd round.

You are inaccurate in reasoning for penalties... it was for tampering not throwing games so unrelated to Ridley actually betting on games...  Here is a except from the findings

"The Dolphins did not intentionally lose games during the 2019 season," the memo continued. "Nor did anyone at the club, including Mr. Ross, instruct Coach Flores to do so. No witness contended otherwise. The Dolphins competed hard to win every game, including at the end of the season when they beat Cincinnati and New England, despite worsening Miami's position in the 2020 draft."

How is he the First owner to be accused of Tanking lol    Anyone remember Saint Louis before they moved?

Or the Browns?

Or the Colts suck for Luck campaign?

these are all recent too...   Why just stephen ross?

****

He was not punished for Tanking... As they could not prove any of that.

He was punished for Tampering... Apparently been talking to Brady and Sean Payton and others about joining the organization while they were elsewhere employed

The NFL has tampering as an internal problem and punishment. If ownership were proven to intentionally be losing games, the ramifications would be huge. Everyone would be getting hotels in MD as they would be in front of Congress weekly. Plus ones placing bets on games, losing money, would not be happy.
Like a teenage girl driving a Ferrari.
