My point exactly.
Notice how tragedy leads playoff appearances.

Raiders had Gruden drama, Madden, and Ruggs.
And end up in playoffs. 
The more drama team has, is a indicator of a good season coming.
Buffalo owner with a phantom illness, store shooting, players relative dies.

The Chick-Fil-A interviews occurred 26 days after they initially closed the case when she called to ask about it. A day later it was closed again and marked exceptionally cleared. 

For those who aren't attorneys like Fred, this means they know at least one suspect, they have enough probable cause to bring about charges, and the location of the suspect is known, however they cannot arrest because the person died, is in the custody of another jurisdiction, or they're just declining to prosecute (as happened in this case).

She then went to a court commissioner to have them bring about charges. The 2nd one she spoke to agreed. 2 days later, the state's attorney sent county officers to her city residence to tell her not to drop it, saying the suspects will sue her or bring about criminal charges.

with regards to the county's track record:

It later goes on to not that an investigation in 2019 found that 78% of rape test kits were not tested.

According to the article, a friend of the alledger says Araiza had consentual sex with the alledger and left before the group sex incident.
