I think winning in primetime tomorrow night is VERY and will be HUGE for us because it will give us momentum going into a stretch of games where we should take care of business.
Along with the momentum, I know NFL players don't necessarily need confidence, but I think being in the spotlight on the big stage and dominating will just have us on a mental high and rolling into the next two games, which we should win.
Dominating the Browns would give us confidence to take care of the Panthers, which shouldn't be a problem and should allow us to avoid having a let-down, and then we have the buy, which will be a nice rest, and then come out in prime-time again the Steelers and just ready to destroy them!
I think the Steelers will be ready to fold by then because they're collapsing and not trusting Pickett!

Yes we need to win this Monday Night game for sure. This is a very important game,of course any divisional game is important, but to lose, and eventually go into the bye 0-3 in the division would be a bad position to be in.Hopefully,we’ll have Reader and Chase back shortly after the bye.

Just being a division game makes it extra important.
Especially since we've yet to win one still.
Burrow also needs to rip this monkey off his back and make a statement to the Browns.
Flush em Down !

That's what I'm saying! It's a HUGE statement game to the rest of the division and to the league in general!
I feel like this will officially right the ship after the opening two losses.
I feel like a big game from Burrow will put him up in the upper ranks with Josh Allen and Mahomes, if he's not up there already.
I think a convincing win would really have the "experts" talking about us.

I don't really care what the "experts" have to say.
But yes we really need a win tonight.

When is the last time we won a road primetime game (in the regular season)?
It's easy to see the world in black and white. Grey? I don't know what to do with grey.

It's so weird because I would not have believed you if you told me, in 2017, that I'd be nervous about a game against the Browns coming off a Super Bowl and playing well enough that a Super Bowl is in serious discussion this season as well.
The idea of being nervous about a 2-5 Browns squad with an average QB, bad defense and key injuries in their secondary, offensive line and offensive weapons just would not have made sense to me.
Historically, especially since I began watching the Bengals in 2005, the Browns have generally been an easy out. From 2005 to 2017, the Bengals went an astonishing 20-6 against the Browns. Every year, no matter how bad we were, I went into each Browns game thinking "well, at least we got this one. I don't know about next week, but this week we're okay."
But, since 2018 and, largely, since Zac has taken over, we've really struggled. Zac has gone 1-5 against the Browns in his career here (And Lewis went 0-2 against them in 2018) and Joe Burrow is still winless against them in 3 starts, one of which was just 2 games after we dominated the Ravens last year (so we were considered "good" at that point).
No matter how little sense it makes, this game is going to be incredibly difficult to win. I hope they pull through and get to 5-3.
Cleveland is playing for their season right now. If they drop to 2-6, they're effectively done. They'd have to win out to get into the playoffs at that point. So they have a lot to play for. We do too. I'm excited but also incredibly nervous for the game tonight.

I don’t either but it would be nice to see more than 10 second game highlights every week!
Like I said, players don’t need confidence and this team has no problem being the underdog, but I just think it will help the team with momentum and a swagger with a win a big win in primetime.
Zac being 1-5 against them also plays big because you know the players have seen that and it will make them know that the monkey is officially off their backs.

I agree but they’ve beaten us already this year, it’s a rivalry game, and Heinz field is always a tough place to play.
That’s why the momentum aspect with a win tonight plays big.

Exactly. It makes no sense but I guess it’s just the rivalry aspect and the battle for Ohio. It’s a pride thing.
A dominating win will get this team believing that history and bad luck can’t stop them.
Going up in the Dog Pound and winning under the lights will have this team rolling.

I know last year exercised a lot of demons, but I still watch with baited breath in prime time and against a sub-par Browns team.
Gotta prove we can win without Chase. Gotta prove we can win division games this year.

It has been so long since we have beaten the Browns. It is about time we get this monkey of our backs! This should be the night!

It was when we beat the Philadelphia Eagles 34-13 late in the 2013 season. Time to end another bad streak.
Edit: it was 2012. Worse than I thought.

It is a monster game no doubt about it. The Browns have our number and Burrow hasn't beaten them yet, we are 0-2 in
the Division right now, have to start with beating the team in the Division that swept us last year. Too much motivation on
our side for us to lose in my opinion unless everything goes wrong for us once again like our first game against these guys
last season.
Expecting a big win tonight, we will see. Need Burrow and our Offense to show they can handle adversity without Chase.
Just so many things going into this game.
