Virginia hires Bronco Mendenhall as new head football coach

Won 99 games in 11 seasons as BYU head coach and led the Cougars to a bowl game in every one of those seasons.

He replaces Mike London who resigned last week.

Mendenhall will coach BYU in the Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl.
