***Week 17 GameDay Thread - Bills @ Bengals***

The main concern for me is that is intubated, potentially on a vent. Hard to tell for certain. My wife and father-in-law were both medical professionals for several years and have consistently said that being on a ventilator is not news you want to hear. I’m glad to hear his vitals are back to normal, though.

Is anyone actually blaming Tee? I’ve not seen even one.
If you see something suspicious, say something suspicious.

Which was the exact reason I shared that tweet. But literally nothing is beyond ridicule these days.

I've read from numerous people it's pretty standard procedure to intubate after having to give CPR.

No just that he could be blaming himself.

The speculation is unreal. What happened to him could be SO many different things. The one thing it is? Awful. It's terrible and frightening and sickening to see anyone go down like that, but especially a young man who is in better physical condition than 99% of the population.

Just say a prayer or say nothing. I am not speculating...I am praying.

Also, do not go on Twitter. The number of people who know someone who know someone who then is making this all about them is unreal. I am not only saddened by what happened tonight, I am sad for where our society is headed.

This is much appreciated direction.

Yeah. Doesn't mean people shouldn't speculate BEFORE they receive said updates.

Why not both?

Okay, then that sounds better. Also, he is a young, professional athlete. He has a much better chance of coming off than someone with weak lungs/older/worse shape, from what I understand.

Sorry, I can't keep track on if you are one of the people who is upset the media is reporting on this or not.

Yeah. I personally know five different people who have been intubated. One had some mental issue afterwards. Apparently, not uncommon. That said, I would hope he wouldn't need anything and get up out of there.

If you're talking about the spat over the Tee Higgins picture, then I think you're confused.

You can want updates on an ongoing situation AND not want a reporter posting what should be a private moment someone had with their mother after experiencing a traumatic event on their twitter account.

Some things should be kept under wraps.

It’s not about others blaming him, it’s about how HE feels over it. There’s a reason people are put under observation when they accidentally kill somebody (let’s hope it’s not that).

All of these reporters have said prayers with Hamlin. That’s great. I hope the whole country is praying for him. As a Christian, there is power in prayer and it would be very impactful if they could use their platform to do an actual prayer to God, out loud, on tv.

It just seems weird a picture of Tee Higgins after the event should be under wraps while we simultaneously attempt to get every update about Hamlin's life and death medical struggles up to the minute.

I guess none of this stuff that doesn't take place on the football field is any of our damn business.
