Sidney Jones has good height (6'). But Flowers height of 6'3" allows him to defend the TE.

Good player, just been plagued by injuries for most of his career. Nice signing, especially on a 1 year prove it deal.

Hope he can stay healthy with us, talented Corner. Might be an upgrade over Flowers, we will see, but I think we still bring back Eli.

Yeah, hope to keep Flowers for that very reason as well.

Flowers & Apple have been healthy & available virtually their entire runs here.

Availability is a talent.

I'm trusting Duke and Zac with this singing. Hopefully the organization sees something they like in this guy for DB depth.

Is Jones contributing to the special teams?

Good get. I really liked him coming out of Washington. His nfl.com scouting report tagged him as a future pro bowler and his comp was Marcus Peters. I was pretty pumped to see him still on the board at 41 and thought for sure he would be a Bengal. But nope, they traded back with Minnesota, and 2 picks later Jones was selected. Horrific injury luck for sure.

Excellent pickup for depth but hopefully we are not relying on him playing an entire season...

If he stays healthy for the entire season this will be a real steal of a signing.

Who knows.
Waynes was never injured before he got here and always injured once here. Maybe this dude can be the anti-Waynes.

Are we assuming it's near the league minimum? That decides if this is a solid investment.

He posted a photo on IG about 2 weeks ago of him doing squat lifts.  Said it was his first day of doing that

Had a 51.3 PFF grade last year for what it's worth.

Queue the I've never seen Jones play crowd...and PFF sucks crowd...

For the record, I'm all for signing CB's with experience. Just so many injuries there.

Same. Not a great player. But, has height and is physical. Seems to have a nice niche.

That's the roll of the dice in this all.

Look at a guy like Reader too that was out that one season and had other injuries. He barely missed any games with the Texans.

I was hoping they’d bring in at least one experienced cb. Hopefully he doesn’t have to play much but is ready when called upon. Solid pick up
