***2023 NFL Draft Thread***

TV is a couple minutes behind twitter/social media on the picks.  Every year some people post the picks on here before tv shows and it and some of the people following on tv get mad.  I don't care either way

Would love this as well, so many options, wanting Gibbs a lot, but still might be able to get him early in the 2nd just the same or
somebody else that helps while adding a pick or two.

Yeah, before the commissioner announces the pick (or someone else for later rounds), the team has made their decision and called the player. So, before the pick is announced at the podium, the name is already spread on social media and in past years posted here. I generally ignore this thread until after watching it on TV, because it makes the podium announcement much more exciting than reading someone's "It's ****!" post.

Yeah people don’t seem to understand it’s much more fun to watch it live rather than someone’s wasteful stupid it’s blah post. It means nothing. It’s just people like Pally etc that apparently must get off big time by being the first to reveal something.

Thought we were going to double dip at RB anyways, but Gibbs would make it necessary.

Not so sure about that. None of the rookies are noted for pass pro. We could still go get Elliot. The staff could be high in T. Williams.

Mixon, Elliot, Gibbs, T. Williams. Elliot fills in on 3rd sometimes, and if Mixon goes down. And short yardage. Gibbs replaces Evans as lightning. And plays a ton more.

If the line is better, a blocking RB on 3rd isn't as necessary. Who is blitzing with Chase, Higgins, Boyd, and Gibbs out there? That is risky.

I think if Forbes is there, then that's our pick.
I think he's a bit skinny, but at least we don't need him out there right away and he can take some time to bulk up. If he was already bulked up, i doubt he'd fall to us.
If he's not there, then i'd like to trade back and try to get some more players in the second and try to beef up via quantity.

Borrow traded for a conditional 7th round pick in 2025!

Kancey and Forbes both available at 28, who do you want?

4.67 at 281 is freakish but we need a CB more I think so Forbes is my choice

personally, I think a better pass rush is what this defense needs most at the moment

I'd take Forbes.

We do need inside pass rush, but out of those two i think Forbes has the higher ceiling and probably couldn't go wrong with either or.

If Kancy had longer arms I'd take him.   But Forbes is going to be an impact player.  Tough call but I'm going with him

I don't think Forbes will be there though.

We need interior pass rush; the problem is finding DTs with that attribute for us.

There’s an excellent chance the ones they want won’t be there. Forbes or Gibbs most likely

We definitely need an interior pass rusher more than a CB.

That is totally uncalled for!!! Get away from the board if you don't want to risk finding something out before your slow stream finally catches up to the news.
