The time to pinch run for Steer would have been BEFORE the double, not after. Lol

Reds win Arizona series, now go for The Sweep on Sunday.

Starting Monday, at Milwaukee Brewers. The Brew Crew again. OK, maybe Reds can win a Brewers series after losing 2 series this month to Brewers.

Brewers win 4-3 after the Braves handed them the go ahead run in the bottom of the 8th. Braves loaded the bases on Williams in the 9th but couldn't score.

As far as the wildcard Reds are in the 3rd spot just 0.5 games behind both Arizona and the Giants who have 1 and 2 respectively.

I'm starting to think Benson should lead off. He's plenty fast, he's selective enough to draw walks, and he can hit. He gets lost in the wash of the flashy rookies, but the guy is an absolute find. Nick Krall really outdid himself when he acquired a player of Benson's caliber for next to nothing.

Also feel like CES needs to move up the order. It's a matter of time before he's mashing. He hits the ball hard every day.

Finally, don't look now, but some of these scrub pitchers are starting to hold water. Williamson looked great vs a very good Arizona lineup, and he's been steadily improving for the last few starts. Get Greene and Lodolo back and you might have the makings of a rotation good enough for the stretch. If anything, I'd acquire a lockdown reliever to secure leads in the 8th and bridge the gap to Diaz. This is the Brewers formula, and we've seen how it can suffocate even a good offensive team.

Oh boy Weaver starts today. Look to be down 6-0 by the 3rd

He's missed like 5 HR's by a combined 20 ft. over the last few games.

What stage of decomposition do y’all think the corpse of Joey Votto is in? Watching this line up carry his .190 BA, sandwiched between guys who produce. Baseball’s version of Weekend At Bernie’s.

On the one hand I'm happy for Votto that he's had some success in his sunset season. And I hope he has more fun and contribution in him.

Having said that I have to agree he doesn't need to be a part of the regular lineup. DH once a week, play 1st every now again. Over the last 7 games he's hitting .083

Arizona is starting a bullpen arm today. Could be a high scoring game for both teams.

To be honest, that Pfaat kid made awesome pitches in both of those strikeouts against Fraley and India. He got to the big leagues and he's still learning. Numbers don't always tell the story.

Don't care who the pitcher is. If you load the bases with no out you have to at least get 1 in. No excuse not to.

Meanwhile EDLC crushes one!!!!!!!!!

You pretty much knew that inning had a chance to be a disaster when you allow a runner on first to score on a ball hit 45ft.

Seriously, what compromising photos does Luke Weaver have of Bell/Krall/Castellini? Another 4 inning start to keep taxing the bullpen, another terrible game to maintain his 7.20 ERA.

I've never seen a guy get this much rope before in my life. Let alone a journeyman 29-year-old who has has >6.50 ERA in 2 of the previous 3 years. I just don't get it.

That's bs. There's no way you can say there was indisputable evidence to overturn that safe call.
