I think this is one of those times where it was absolutely fair to ask for a trade. I don't know that Dallas is the right answer for him but I hope it works out. Dak struggles with injuries so I bet he gets a couple chances to increase his value this year.

if the team that traded away a ton to get him let him go for peanuts...  Im not sure what value he adds to dallas..

But it might give him more time to develop overall.   Not sure why dallas would want that contract though

Cool. He can learn from Dak to put up big numbers and then choke when it matters, to earn that big contract.
