NFL TV Map
#1
Pretty good map for a 1PM game. You are out of luck if you are in the southern states (even Baton Rouge) or upper midwest but you guys out west can enjoy the game

announcers: Ian Eagle and Charles Davis

Referee-Clete Blakeman so look for a flag fest

uniform combo

My first year with Sunday Ticket let's goooooooo
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Living in the DC/Baltimore corridor. No TV game for me.

Off to the malware sites I go.

I have Sunday Ticket but alot of people in my area are freaking out. DirectTV is big in my area and they are fighting with Nexstar so we currently don't get CBS which is half of NFL Sunday.

Is it tho. I had to give it up. Seemed like all games were on commercial at the same time!

I'd try to flip to another game during a Bengals commercial break and by the time that game got back from commercial the Bengals game was back on.

It is nice to have options at the slots no Bengals games are on, but the 4pm slot seemed to always have the best game on regular channel anyway.

It is: when the Bengals are on, I don't touch the channel... but when not on, surfing at my own leisure is great and we always get NE US games on regular TV here, so I get 0 out of market games, aside from one additional game.

I normally would get the game but for the past year the station that carries CBS in our area (northeastern PA, including Scranton, Wilkes-Barre, etc.) has been i a contract dispute with Directv and Dish. And I bought a TV antennae but because of my area of the mountains I don't get CBS anyway. (I had taken down the huge antennae on the roof when i switched to cable years ago.) And I understand there are a lot of areas not getting CBS, and some Fox, because of such disputes.

I'm the kind of person who doesn't mind commercials.
They give me opportunity to walk out of the room for a bit, look up how fantasy team is doing, etc.
I actually don't care about watching any other game besides the Bengals, but I find the cost of Sunday Ticket still better than the hassle of going out and paying for lunch/dinner and drinks on top of watching the game at a bar.
There's also really no place near me that has Bengals fans unless I wanted to go to Tailgate Music Row brewery downtown, which is also a hassle.

This brings a question. I basically lived in Brookhaven, MS for almost a year. I understand and was cool with watching the games at noon and 3 while drinking beer and throwing down some wings. However, I wonder about those West coast fans. Do you guys fire up the grill and start hammering down the brews at 9-10 am? What are you grilling, breakfast?

you can always get Paramount Plus and stream the game if your local channel is showing it.  There is a 7-day free trial and after that, it is only $5.00 per month. You can cancel at anytime

Agreed

Hope it continues as well.  Although during commercials I would rather watch the 49ers trounce the steelers than Jax beating the Colts.

Yet as long as the Bengals win it's all good.

If you get a big grill plate, you can make bacon and pancakes on the grill.

I don’t drink any more but 20 plus years ago before kids and directv(I didn’t have it) I would go to a bar/restaurant with friends. We would start drinking and eating the fried foods early. It was inside so you really couldn’t tell what time it was. Like being in a Vegas casino - it could be 11am or 11pm.
I like the 10am starts because you don’t have to wait until afternoon for games to start. Also because I get up really early for work so last games over by 8-8:30.

I later got directv and Sunday ticket for 15 years or so. Only paid for it a couple of times. The rest I would call in Aug and threaten to cancel and they would give it to me free. Last few years they gave it to me before I even asked.

This year I have dumped all of them and found another way to see every game.

You can't get drunk if you don't start drinking....
For me, I usually have a good breakfast and then just munch the rest of the day unless it's nice out. When it is nice out, I try to get a couple of holes in at the local muni.

All these broadcast shenanigans and they wonder why a lot of us use IPTV services that we still have to pay for.

When I lived in Calgary (MST) for the 2016 season , it was weird for the games to start at 11:00, but being done around 2ish allowed me to get a head start on grocery shopping and dinner, whereas here if I don't go before the games, I need to go at like 5:00 at night, when I usually start dinner.

So yes, a little bit earlier can have its advantages, that and you don't need to wait around until 1 to see the game Wink

I think noon start time is the sweet spot. 11am feels a little off for me in Denver too.  I'm about to go spend the season with my dad up in Fairbanks (Alaska) and it'll be 9am there....he might look at his son differently when he sees me drunk by noon on a Sunday lol.
