The annual Western-Southern Tennis Tournament will remain in Mason. The new owners had been threatening to move it to Charlotte, their home base, however, funding didn't come through for a tennis stadium. So for the next 25 years, the tournament will remain in Mason and expand to a full 2-week tournament. As part of the deal, Mason and Ohio will spend about $37 million in improvements at the stadium and the tournament owner will spend $125 million.
