I said it at the time that Browns trading 3 years of #1 draft picks for Watson was too much. That they must have seen the Kevin Costner Draft Day movie where as Browns GM he trades 3 years of 1st round picks.
So here is Watson who hardly played in 2022 and is out for rest of 2023. On the other hand, Houston in these picks came up with their rookie franchise QB in Stroud. Plus Houston got Browns #1 pick for 2024, besides the extra picks last 2 years. Cleveland has been winning in spite of the trade and Watson seldom playing. Houston went into rebuild mode, and after their win over Bengals, I would say Stroud and the rebuild is working.
I don't see how anybody can say Houston didn't win out over the Browns on the Watson trade for 3 years of #1 draft picks. Stroud plus these other picks is a win for Houston who are rebuilding as Bengals did a couple years ago.
