Factually, it was the Bengals who beat the Oilers 61-7 AT Riverfront Stadium.
C'mon Man.

Um, Wyche ran the score up against Glanville after Glanville had run the score up on Wyche. So, this is a case of Collinsworth perhaps mixing up game scores but not of him, "lying" or trashing the Bengals. I know some of you Al Bundy's out there remember every second of that high school game where you scored four touchdowns but normally programmed people like Collinsworth (by the way his first name is spelled Cris, and a true Bengals fan would know that) don't obsess over the stats from games they played decades ago. You are welcome to continue to obsess over Cris and tell the world how much you hate him, but I encourage you - for your general well being - to find other things to focus on.

I don't remember many games I played at all. That said.....61-7 shouldn't be very hard to remember.....plus , he wasn't even a member of the team in question.

He was referring to getting beat in the Astrodome. In 1988 they went there and got beat down in the next to last game of the regular season 41-6. While he got the score wrong he did not lie about the game. It did happen. I remember watching it as they lost the #1 seed in the AFC that week only to regain it in the next week with an OT win against the Redskins (thanks to a Chip Lohmiller missed FG at the end of regulation.)

Why is that eyesore still around? (The Astrodome, not Collinsworth.)

That skins game was my first live game.....great memory. Thanks for the clarification....I had forgotten the 41-6 game. Still.....Cris has a knack for talking down his old swuad.

Bengals fans are super sensitive to Cris Collinsworth trying to be an objective sports caster. Who cares.

Boomer has a great play fake in that game on a TD pass to Eddie Brown to tie it late. The Skins controlled that game with time-killing possessions (like the Stoolers yesterday). They really should have beat us and then we would have had to go to Buffalo for the AFC Title.

I watched that game just last week as a matter of fact...haha. The temp was very cold like single digit cold. Definitely was at Riverfront.
I remember us getting beat down by Houston as well.

Because he's a damn liar who kicks puppies and takes candy from babies.
Who gives candy to babies anyways?
Oh... those people with strollers that trick or treat with their damn baby and say "it's for them".
That's who takes candy from babies.
