Not necessarily Elland Road my teams stadium in England was built in 1919 obviously it’s had several renovations since then however it’s basically a shed.

Look through this thread on Twitter it’s basically falling down however ask 90% of match going Leeds fans if they want a new stadium like spurs and we would tell you to piss off because it’s the most intimidating atmosphere in England.

In soccer the difference is there is no salary cap the rich get richer with their overly expensive hospitality and sponsorship which is why the top of the league is a closed shop they can pay higher wages and cherry pick the best players from lower teams.

Paycor in comparison is a palace an amazing looking ground that needs a few touches here and there but these should not be funded by the tax payer when the Browns on paper are billionaires.

The vast majority of these upgrades would make tickets even more expensive to the working man and American sports are already disgustingly expensive to attend this extra money isn’t put back in to the team as in the NFL you don’t buy players and every team has the same cap it’s to make the owners richer which is a ***** joke.

The Bengals don’t need a new stadium and the Chiefs don’t either for that matter and to threaten to move the team to another city spits in the face of the generations of families who have supported their team.

It’s the one thing about American sports which I detest and if they tried that stunt over here their cars would probably end up a smouldering wreck a few hours later.

Major renovations to Paycor Stadium could take a few years. I wonder where the Bengals play in the meantime?

A lot of the time they're done in phases during the offseason so the stadium can still be used.

And I wouldn't argue you saying thousands benefit but there are also thousands that don't benefit nor care to benefit and their votes count, too. They're concerned about their own family and meeting expenses to make it.
