Yes I've seen the other replies, but we should remember that the Bengals didn't have a practice facility and are still one of a minority of teams that prefers practice in their Stadium.  That can't be good for field conditions. The studies I've seen on injuries related to surface amount to 6 of one or half a dozen of the other.

The players union prefers grass.  Grass is better.  Plenty of research out there suggests that foot/ankle injuries as well as non-contact injuries occur at a lower rate on grass fields.

Grass fields sound nice, and may in fact be better when they are pristine. Then you have a game in the rain or melting snow. 4 quarters of Professional Football on a wet field and you have a mudhole. So then they re-sod on Monday and the following week you have grass clumps coming up every time a player tries to cut or a lineman pushes. Turf is just a much better answer.
