Does anyone have a reason Chris Evans is still here?

I mean, this guy has done next to nothing his whole career here. Time to move on and give his spot to someone else.

Because we can say we have Captain America on the team?

Who do you think gets cut first: Evans or Jackson Carman?

I'm thinking Bengals might end up dumping the 4th RB in favor of an extra TE, depending on how McLachlan does this preseason.
Bengals very well could ride with 5 TEs this year.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins

At least they have to go around Carman. I seriously do not see any positive with Evans. If someone else does, tell me what value he adds.

I already told you. He has the same name as the actor that plays Captain America (and who also once played the Human Torch). What else could he possibly need to stay on a football team? Mellow

Evans had no production in college, had issues with coaching and was suspended. So many RBs with production on their resume every draft and we took a flier on a guy in the 6th that ran a fast 40, didn't play fast, but ran fast in a straight line, in shorts.

Nope, and he should've been gone before now.

I like Chris Evans. I know last preseason when he had some big runs that were called back due to holding calls it was pointed out he caused the penalties because he took the wrong side of the blocker causing the hold. So maybe that got him in the dog house and gave him basically no touches. But he's an excellent receiver and has shown a knack for picking up the first down and has had decent runs. Evans had 2 rushing attempts last year one a 7yd run the other a 5yd run both in week 1. In a game that was and ugly loss because Burrow couldn't run. Not saying Evans is the answer or that those 2 attempts show what he would do with more touches. Just not sure how you don't give a guy more chances when the run game struggles.

No reason to keep Evans.
I don't know if he's been here 3 years or what, but it's long enough to know what we have in him.
He's done nothing to win a spot in his entire tenure.
He's made bank though, good for him.

I'd be okay with keeping two running backs.
If we need a 3rd due to injury anyone in FA is as good as him.

It's preseason. Give Drew Sample some running plays out of the backfield, see how he does. I'm fairly confident he could pick up 3 yards and a cloud of dust. Could be good for short yardage situations as well as passing plays. As long as he doesn't drop the ball, he could easily be our 3rd "RB"

Actually, he used to make plays a lot when he got a shot and I always wondered why we didn't use him more. Bad in practice or
whatever the reason, the coaches never gave him a shot when he was fast. But now, he looks slower and lost his edge so time to
move on.

Evans sucks...but he's sadly one of the 4 best RB's we have.  That's why he's still around.

Poor evaluations in RB potential from a coaching staff that has consistently shown they wouldn’t know a good run game if it pegged them in a bathroom.

Chris Evans is good; he might even be above average. Just not a good for in Cin.

Evans had a good game up in Detroit a couple a years ago. Carmen had a good game up in Buffalo. I guess every dog has their day but if these two were cut, I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.
