You’ll probably hear about this more as the year goes on and young Travis cements himself as a boss but Iv already seen 4 different outlets discuss this……
Where do you play him in the NFL?
Let’s make this hard…
Let’s say he’s Heisman level at both CB and WR, what do you do if you are the Patriots and have the number 1 pick?
Do you do the work to schedule his time in a way to attend both offensive and defensive meetings and play him both ways just like in college? To my knowledge Travis has never appeared tired on the field, and he does not have a drop off in effectiveness as the game goes on. From the games Iv seen he is playing almost every snap on both sides of the field and he is not getting lazy on either side as the game progresses.
Do you tell Travis he’s playing CB and that’s it and possibly miss out on an all pro WR because of fear of protecting the kid?
Imo this is one of those unscripted football stories you just have to let play out. Maybe the choice is made easy for you and Travis looks only average at one position in training camp and you don’t even have to worry about it. But what if he wins the Heisman this year AND gets into a NFL training camp and appears to be elite at both WR and CB? ATP i think you’ve just gotta let God take over and let him play both.
