Week 3 injuries
#1
Zac said in his press conference that they are looking at potentially bringing in some outside players. Both BJ and Rankins injured their hamstrings. They will know more as the week progresses. It helps to have an extra day.

Jenkins should return to practice this week and how he does will determine his status for next week

Tee is trending in a positive direction but Zac won't commit to him playing next Monday.

Last week both Murphy and Jackson were on the rehab field which is a positive towards them being ready to go after week 4

Are we talking about real hamstring injuries?  Ninja

I said this last year, it might be time to start looking at the training staff with all the hamstring injuries. These tend to occur when the front and back of the leg are not worked out equally. When you start having multiple hammys, it's time to look at what's going on in the weight room.

I don't think they have an abnormally high number of hamstring issues.  BJ, for example, I know does reformer pilates which is something specifically designed to work muscle groups equally and improve flexibility and balance

Both Tee and Kris Jenkins will be practicing today.  It may be limited but they will be out there.

BJ and Sheldon are both day to day and will not practice

If Higgins makes it back on the field for MNF, how much can we rely on him? He won't be at game speed and is a few weeks behind the others. Add his issues with dropped passes, I hope they play him in a limited fashion instead of making him a vital part of the gameplan.

He's a professional.  If he's on the field, he should be ready to go, and game-planned as such.

Everyone was talking about what a great camp he had

Why does that seem so long ago already?

Because after the hype, the last 2 weeks of losing seems like a year?

hamstrings are very common injuries across the board with NFL and actually i read the Bengals have ranked one of the least injured teams past 3 years...

Happy we have Jordan Battle if Vonn cannot go or at least not be 100% with the back. Those injuries suck.

Would love to see Kris Jenkins and Amarius Mims get some playing time with the DT's besides Tufele struggling and Trent Brown having
his troubles.

no Rankins or Bell at Practice
BJ is out on the field in street clothes.  He's still noticeably limping

Tee is practicing

I don't see why Tanner Hudson was active last Sunday anyway instead of McLachlan.
Hudson was DNP like all last week and didn't play a single snap Sunday.

They should keep Hudson inactive and give McLachlan a few snaps.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

Doubt they would’ve signed Guy if BJ or Rankins had any hope in playing. That’s just my gut feel. Don’t expect to see either one until Baltimore.

Good to see Tee back. Will he handle his usual snap count, probably not, but one of the (many) benefits of having a JaMarr Chase is I probably won’t notice anyway. He’ll be there and at least it’ll *feel normal

Rushing back from hamstring injuries results in more hamstring injuries.
