Don't know much about him.  Signing to the Bengals 53 man roster Per Tom Pelissero

Here's to hoping that he can step in and be more than 'just a guy'.

Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

Basically a sound tackler whose best year was 2018 where he was elite in run defense. If he has enough gas left in the tank for rotational play it is a good signing.

I think his 2019 stats looked better given the above.

I think they promote Justin Rogers. Also this week they activate Cedric Johnson so they can platoon Hubbard inside on some snaps.

What do you think?

no word yet on the corresponding roster move. Will it be a waive or a IR move?

Definitely has an overachiever quality lasting this long. 7th round pick from 2011.

Makes sense as DL depth is a need.

What do you think the options are aside from Hill and/or Rankins going on IR?

14 years in the league and I am pretty sure most of us here have never heard of this guy. Hopefully he can give us some good minutes.

Lawrence Guy was the DT I was wanting us to sign, great news. He is a proven run stopper even if he is 34 he should have
something left in the tank enough to help us out. Justin Rogers might also be elevated from the PS who was a good run stopper
in the SEC at Auburn and Kris Jenkins might be back, we will see. But adding Guy makes me feel much better.

I am waiting to see if Rogers get promoted also. Then they would activate Cedric Johnson on Monday and that is their best look as it lets them on some downs have Hubbard inside. It would require 2 PS  - one would be Pryor going back down not sure about the second unless we are sending someone to IR.

Waived DE KJ Henry. Also released Shedrick Jackson from the practice squad. We have one opening on the p.s.
